Alohound Hiking's Philosophy
Everyone's dog deserves the best! Giving your dog daily exercise and socialization can help promote health and longevity. However, sometimes life can get in the way and Alohound Hiking is here to help!
Alohound Hiking offers daily dog care in which your pup will have an active two hours of walking! Their senses will be thoroughly activated, smelling and exploring the different terrain. We keep the pack moving along, ensuring that when your pooch returns home they are happy and ready for their comfy dog bed!
We pick your dog up early in the morning for an adventure through the gorgeous Maui countryside! Hiking four dogs at a time, we explore the greater Maui wilderness.
About Us
Steve Hamilton
Founder
Steve is an absolute animal lover! Growing up in Iowa, his life was filled with all different types of species. In 2018 he began his dog handling career in Denver, Colorado. Getting to work with dogs day to day unlocked a passion deep from within.
Seeing all the different personalities and traits in the various dog breeds has led Steve to study canine behavior. Knowing how a dog will react can help avoid any unwanted or sporadic demeanor. Keeping dogs safe is Steve's primary goal while caring for your dog!

An homage to Cooper
Cooper James was a good boy who crossed the rainbow bridge too soon, like many of our beloved canine friends. A big bub that loved his mom and dad and sister, Izzy. He was always first in line to give some stinky smooches. Cooper's passing was one of the hardest things we’ve experienced, but we couldn’t let it be in vain. During his time with us, he always reminded us to appreciate each and every day. We never know how much time we have with our furbabies and thats why it’s so important to provide a great outlet for them. Getting out on trail, rolling in the dirt, and enjoying his time in nature was Cooper's MO and that's how we like to "Live Alohound!"
